The Winery produces the following wines :
Blended wines which make up the Baronnie de Coussergues product range in all three colors (White, Rose and Red).
Grape variety wines (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Viognier, Muscat, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet & Pinot).
All our wines are bottled at the Winery.
Vinification :
Each grape variety is vinified separately in the Winery's storehouses.
The combination of tradition, the latest techniques as well as the winemaker's know-how lets the wines fully express themselves.
Recent investments have allowed us to equip the storehouse with a modern & efficient harvest reception unit.
he variety of equipment available (drainage tub, cold generator, tubular harvest exchanger, rotating stainless steel "Aromatiks" vats, pneumatic press) gives us the possibility of optimally handling each harvest.
The importance given to respecting the fruit, masterful œnology as well as the ultimate step of creating a wine from a blend of as well as the ultimate step of creating a wine from a blend of grape varieties lets us make wines that are well-rounded and harmonious.
Tracking and Reasoned Agriculture
The Chateau de Coussergues Winery has progressively set up a program for tracking its wine and producing it using reasoned agriculture thanks to the owner's willingness.
The tracking details are the wine's ID card indicating :
exact origin, detailed growth record, harvest conditions, key operations carried out in the wine cellar, bottling, etc.Furthermore reasoned agriculture has become our goal for reconciling economic competitiveness and the winemaker's desire to do more for the environment.
Production potential :
2 million bottles.
Current sales:
1 million bottles, 75% are exported and 25% remain in France.
Maturing :
White and rose wines are bottled within 6 months following harvest. They are then stored in a storehouse at controlled temperatures (15°C).
Red wines are bottled in the spring depending on the harvest. Part of it is left to mature for 8 to 12 months in oak barrels.
Our wines are analyzed and tasted regularly.
